Now onboarding founding teams

Give a small team the structure of a big one.

Mycel lays your business out as positions in a reporting tree. Each position has an AI that holds the role, does its recurring work as drafts for a person to approve, and keeps what it learned when people change jobs.

Founding price: Business $169 a month instead of $199 for the first year, for the first 25 businesses.

Operations: what is our after-hours fee?

$189 on top of the job, and the customer is told before anyone is dispatched. (From the after-hours policy in Operations.)

  1. 1Map your team.

Positions in a reporting tree, with people in their seats.

  2. 2Give each role an AI.

Built from templates. It does the role's routine jobs, drafts first.

  3. 3Ask the role.

Answers respect who is asking. The answer is kept for next time.

You own the memory and can export it anytime. Nothing goes out until a person approves it. Each person only gets answers they are cleared to see.

Your team gets answers from the business, not from your phone.

One memory you own

Plain markdown in real folders. Build it by talking, upload your documents and spreadsheets, and export the whole vault as a zip whenever you want.

Every position can answer for itself

Ask a position in plain words and it answers from that role's own files, down to the named file, sheet and row of a spreadsheet. Turn any answer into a spreadsheet, a chart, a one-page brief or a slide deck.

Team chat next to it

Channels and direct messages for the people in your business. Type @assistant in any message and it answers in the thread from the business vault.

Capture by voice, upload or email

Record a voice note, upload a recording or file, type a note, or forward an email. Each one is filed and sorted into cards such as tasks, people, follow-ups and prices, for you to review.

Your team, one vault

Everyone in the business works in the same vault. What one person teaches it, the whole team (and your connected apps, where you share it) can use.

  • Four roles: Owner, Admin, Member and Viewer. Each one sees plainly what it can and cannot do.
  • Private folders: keep a folder to everyone, to team members but not viewers, or to owners and admins only.
  • History on every document: see who changed what and when, and restore an earlier version.
  • Undo: take back something the assistant filed, and a restore can itself be undone.

One connected stack

One brain behind your whole operation.

Mycel is the memory. A trade shop runs its jobs, estimates and invoices in TradesBackbone; an appointment business runs booking and customer conversations in Relay. ReputeLift sends the review requests you release and drafts replies in your voice, and SynthPrism drafts your posts and publishes them. You connect the pieces you use under one sign-in, and Mycel shows what needs a person across every piece.

Under it sit your business reports: money, work, customers, reputation and reach. Every number shows where it came from and how it changed.

Your products stop guessing. They read your business's own memory.

Once they are connected, Relay's and TradesBackbone's AI read only the folders you share with them, because they talk to your customers, and you choose what they may tell them.

Calls between 6 pm and 7 am carry a $189 after-hours fee on top of the job. Tell the customer before anyone is dispatched.

Shared with Relay · Customers can be told

When someone texts at night, Relay's assistant drafts a reply that mentions the fee. Change the policy here and Relay follows at its next sync.

What your business learns files into the vault. Customer records stay in Relay or TradesBackbone, one click away.

Frequently asked questions

What is Mycel?+

Mycel is the brain of your business, laid out the way the business is: positions in a reporting tree, with the people in each seat. Each position keeps its own memory (notes, decisions, finished work and the documents filed to it) and can have an AI that holds the role, does its recurring jobs as drafts for a person to approve, and keeps working when people change. Anyone on the team can ask a position instead of interrupting the person in it, and the answer only uses what the asker is cleared to see. You add to it by voice note, upload, typed note or forwarded email. For trade and appointment businesses it is also the center of one connected stack: Relay or TradesBackbone for your customers, whose AI drafts work from the folders you share with it, plus ReputeLift for reviews and SynthPrism for posts, all under one sign-in.

Who is Mycel for?+

Small and growing teams that want the structure a bigger company has: a role for every job, written-down know-how, and a person approving before anything goes out. That includes software teams, agencies and other service firms, and trade shops and appointment businesses, which can run Mycel as the brain of the full Martello stack. There is also a personal tier for your own life, at usemycel.com/personal.

How does Mycel fit with the other apps?+

Mycel is the brain and the other apps do the customer-facing work. A trade shop runs jobs in TradesBackbone, an appointment business runs booking in Relay, ReputeLift handles reviews and SynthPrism handles posts. Relay's and TradesBackbone's AI read only the folders you share with them. You connect the apps from Settings, and Today lists what is waiting on a person across all of them. The vault, assistant, team chat and capture work from the first day.

What is Today?+

Today is a ranked list of the things that need a person, across every product you have connected. Each item shows which product it came from, why it surfaced, how long it has been waiting, and a link straight to the thing itself.

Does Mycel do anything without asking me?+

It files and it sorts on its own. Anything that changes something inside another product waits for your approval first, and then Mycel sends it into that product. If Relay is connected, you can set an automation to text or email you when something is waiting.

Do I own my data, and can I export it?+

Yes. Your vault is plain markdown in real folders, and you can export the whole thing as a zip whenever you want. If you outgrow Mycel or we disappear, you keep what you built.

How much does Mycel cost?+

There is a free tier to start. Personal is $69/month with optional add-ons à la carte, and the all-in Personal Plus bundle is $119/month. Business is $199/month for 3 people, plus $59 a month for each extra seat up to 25. Email in and the Omi wearable link are included in every paid plan. Annual billing is 12 months for the price of 11. Cancel anytime.
